Sir Ken makes some insightful and useful talking points, however, keep in mind that these points have been researched for a long time. Developmental and educational psychologists have been writing on these aspects of education, learning, creativity, child perception and adult perception.
The education makes us think that we must to be a doctor, lawyer or an ingineer; and try to say that careers like art, music, theater or something like that, aren´t funcionalily and the sistem it isn´t doing for peolple who do things like that.
In the school, we must do as teachers says, and childs can´t make priority to they want, for example dance or sing; It is called the Level System. It is a custom education system to each unique individual.
Education needs to be vast and much more inclusive to new ideas, cultures, technologies, discoveries and techniques so that our children are afforded every opportunity to be all they can be. No one should ever be brought up forced to fit into a mold or box that stunts their imagination or creativity.
